Comanche!

What an amazing way to represent the global body of Christ yesterday and this week. This week is Global Week of Student Prayer and yesterday students from all over the world joined together at 7 a.m. local times to gather in prayer. My question is do we realize the POWER that holds!? We’re talking to the One in control of it all! Did we take the time to look around and see we’re not alone? We have the people, we just need the willingness to step out and make a difference! Will we answer the call?

Comanche students took the first step with about 40 at the High School and 100 at the Junior High at 7:30 a.m. yesterday praying for their communities. We continued that theme with a joint church prayer service of about 80+ students gathered to pray and sing to the Lord yesterday evening. (Big shout out to Eastside for stepping up, students leading, and adults providing in numerous ways!) I believe we got to see a beautiful glimpse of what the church was meant to be, with church labels put aside.

Let’s be sure to end this month and continue in the same Spirit by celebrating the last Sunday of the month together at FBC. We’ll be ready to go with worship at 9 and Bible Study at 10. FBC Students, this Sunday is our first 5th Sunday Hangout. We will be going to Brownwood Sunday evening for a great time of fun, food, and fellowship together. We’ll gather and leave the church at 5:30 and head to Rex’s Texas Lanes followed by God’s gift of Whataburger and plan to return to the church by 9 p.m. (Parents, please note the time change; also, bowling will be $3.50 a game, tax free and shoes included. Dinner will also be on you own expense. Please let me know if you plan on going and if anyone needs help with money.) Don’t miss out!

-Thanks and God Bless,
