The purpose of the knitting ministry is to provide a source of outreach and comfort to those around us who are going through difficult circumstances. They can also be given in times of happiness such as weddings, births, baptisms and other occasions. The focus of the ministry is to make prayer shawls and other knitted items which are given to the recipient after being prayed over by the church. The ministry is open to anyone who is interested in learning to knit or who is already skilled in knitting. Morning and evening sessions are available for instruction as well as fellowship. The morning sessions are held weekly on Wednesday at 9:30am. The evening sessions are every other Tuesday at 7:00pm. The sessions are held at the home of Sherry Reynolds. There are currently over 30 members of the ministry. For more information contact Sherry Reynolds at 325-356-5904 or 817-408-0127.
